Scattergood's practice is an investigation into the digital and spatial materiality of 3D and illusionistic projection. Exploring the relationship between time and space, the project investigates the unique and specific characteristics of digital information. The current exhibition brings together Scattergood's paintings and holograms for the first time.
Paul Scattergood has worked in various media,. His practice currently encompasses painting, digital holography and moving image work. Scattergood is a researcher based at the Royal College of Art in London. He also teaches 3D imaging at the Institute of Creative Technology. He has trained in Fine Art, creative technology and communications. His work is retained in several institutional collections; he also publishes writings regularly - most recently at the CHArt conference 2008.
